The Four Cornerstones of a Marywood-Palm Valley School Education
The Four Cornerstones of a MWPV education are College-preparation, Character, Communication skills and Community and they drive every facet of our days in school. It's why, for over 50 years, we have seen our graduates leave us and go into the world well prepared for learning and for life.
Consider that 100% of our graduates qualify for four-year colleges. Keep in mind that our average SAT score is 250 points higher than the national average. Reflect on the merits of a small school where participation in the whole life of the school, athletics, arts, and academics is the norm, not the exception. Imagine the power of a community of families that values and celebrates higher standards of personal commitment. See for yourself the confidence that comes with well developed communication skills.
Marywood-Palm Valley School is the only independent private school in the Palm Springs area serving preschool through high school. 100% of graduates qualify for four-year colleges. School class sizes average 15-20 students and 50% of the teachers hold advanced degrees. The school is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and California Association of Independent Schools, and is a member of the California Scholarship Federation, National Association of College Admissions Counselors and the College Board.

A MWPV education is built on four cornerstones:
College-Prep: An environment where all students are college bound after receiving a solid academic foundation, strong organizational skills, study habits and work ethic, and global awareness in an atmosphere of personalized attention.
Character: A community built upon respect, courage, responsibility, compassion, tolerance, integrity, creativity, and balance.
Communication: A school that encourages the ability to articulate effectively through writing and speaking.
Community: A school community united through involvement in community service and common purpose.
